1 - Fan Ye
Fan Ye will update the main quest 'Hunt for the Sickle.' He'll tell you that the Telkine passed through Zhidan on its way to Chang'an.
'You could see the great sickle from far off -- held aloft -- like a beacon, like a weapon.'
2 - Lu Buwei
Lu Buwei will take a more pragmatic attitude towards the current dark times. He'll ask you to retrieve for him a jade figurine from a cave to the east (either at #5 or in Shaanxi Fields), and he'll offer to pay you handsomely for it. If you fetch the item for him, then you'll complete the side quest 'The Wealthy Collector,' and you'll receive 25,000 experience points and a random piece of jewelry.
'Because there are monsters, should living stop? Should all business end? Some say so, but I say it is folly.'
3 - Bao Er
Bao Er (#3) will trigger the side quest 'Stalker in the Woods.' He'll tell you that a 'terrible beast' wanders in the woods near the road leading to Chang'an. The beast is actually a giant spider, and you'll find it in the forest east of the city (usually at #3a but sometimes elsewhere). Killing the spider will net you 27,000 experience points.
4 - Song Yu
Song Yu is a storyteller. He'll tell you about Sun Wukong, the Monkey King.
5 - Cave
From a chest in this cave or a in cave in Shaanxi Fields you can pick up the jade figurine requested by Lu Buwei (#2). Delivering the figurine to him will complete the side quest 'The Wealthy Merchant.'

Abstract
Monkey King Titan Quest Download
The novel 'Monkey' or 'Journey to the West' tells of a simian's revolt against Heaven, of its defeat by the Buddha, and of its later being recruited as a pilgrim to protect the monk Tripitaka on his quest for scriptures in India. This essay traces Monkey's background to a) a mythic battle between a land deity and a water deity; b) a myth about an aboriginal in a medieval forest who is converted by Buddhist missionaries and becomes a saint who protects his new faith, just as St. Christopher, originally a subhuman Dog-man in the forest, became the patron saint of travelers; c) a folk Zen parody of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng (who was called a 'southern barbarian monkey'); d) an ancient tradition about the Chinese Titans-the demigods of Xia-striking back at the Zhou god of Heaven that displaced them. The appendix goes into the folklore of the Frog, a chthonic deity kept alive among southern non-Chinese aboriginals.
