PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN. When you go to the Calm Lands, you will view a scene showing the mini games. Paine and Rikku will tell you they have 100 credits for each company. The two companies are Open Air and Argent Inc. And they are competing to controll the Calm Lands. Go to one of the hovers. In Chapter 1 when you go to Kilika you have the opportunity to begin a small mini-game. In the first dock section on the East side you should be able to find a woman in blue and some children playing with a Squatter Monkey. If you talk to the woman she will ask you to look for more wild monkeys in the Kilika Woods. Return to FFX-2 Mini.
When you go to the Calm Lands, you will view a scene showing the mini games. Paine and Rikku will tell you they have 100 credits for each company. The two companies are Open Air and Argent Inc. and they are competing to controll the Calm Lands. Go to one of the hovers. There will be two people standing next to each hover. The person on the left is with Open Air and the person on the right is with Argent Inc. Talk to whichever person you want to, it does not matter which company you join. Talk to them and learn about the publicity campaign and join thier company. Now, when you are somewhere, push the square button by a person (any person, anywhere) and tell try to get them to join your company. The object is to get the best response from the person. Each company has different pitches and every person is effected differently by each pitch. When you walk up to the person, choose a pitch. The pitches are as follows:
Argent Inc. Pitches:
- Fun awaits you at Argent!
- Argent, at your service!
- For a good time, call on Argint!
- Argent. Fun you can rely on.
- Would you like to hear about Argent, Inc.?
Open Air Pitches:
Ffx-2 Walkthrough
- Fun awaits you at Open Air!
- Take to the Air. Open Air.
- Open Air. Get your Air on.
- I lost 30 pounds with Open Air!
- Shee yoo at Open Air, yesh?
Each person will respond in a different way depending on which pitch you choose. You get a certain amount of points depending on how well you did. You need to get as many points as you can. The responses of a person and the amount of points you earn are as follows:
- They seem put off/ 0 points
- They don't seem the least bit interested/ 1 points
- They seem mildly intrigued/ 2 points
- They seem pretty psyched/ 3 points
- They seem totally pumped/ 5 points
You need to earn as many points as possible, if you put a person off the first time, go back later and try again. Remember: You can talk to each person again in every Chapter even if you got them totally pumped the first time.
You can raise your rank by earning a certain amount of points, try to reach a level five before the end of Chapter 5. Here is how many points you need for each Publicity Level.
Level 1/ N/A
Level 2/ 60
Level 3/ 140
Level 4/ 260
Level 5/ 400
You can also get Publicity Points for playing their mini games, but unless you are very good at them, it is not worth it. Remember: Your rank can only be one higher than the chapter you are in, so if you are in Chapter 1, and you have 140 points, your level will still only be a Level 2.
For the best effect, you need to switch companies. If you want to unlock the extra mini games, you need to get 400 points with both companies. But switching companies comes at a price, however many points you have earned, half of them are taken away when you switch compainies. Example: If you made 100 points for Open Air and you decided to switch to Argent Inc. for a while, you would then have 50 points for Open Air. If you want to unlock both mini-games at the end of the campaign, you should accumulate att least 280 Publicity points for one company during the first two chapters and then switch to the rival company. Gather the 400 pooints needed to bring the episode to a close in Chapter 5, and when the points are tallied at the end, you get both games.
The items you can purchase with your game credits change based on your current Publicity Level with that company. In other words, the higher your rank, the better things you can buy from both companies.
The Publictiy Campaign will end in Chapter 5 automatically when you go to the Calm Lands. Make sure you have at least 400 points with your company before you go there. When you go there, the points are tallied and the winner is declared. The company with the most points wins. But it is not over, with the leadership of Tobli, the two companies join forces! They call themselves the Calm Skies Partnership. They celebrate by opening the company opens one or two new games based on your preformence. If you got a rank 3 for Argent Inc. they will open a game called 'Feed the Monkey'. If you got a Rank 3 for Open Air, they will open a game called 'Gull Force'. If you got rank 3 for both companies you will get both games.
Comming Soon: Tables on which people like which pitches.

You’ll quickly be given a mission as you enter the area: find the treasure sphere! Simply go north for a while and you’ll be impeded from going into the area beyond by a girl. After meeting with her, go up the slope to the east and then north for a while. You’ll have to choose ' Of course I remember! ' during the conversation that results, then go down the slope and go northwest into the dome.
Inside the dome, go along the path to the north and you’ll have a scene in the next area with the kids. Speak with the person on the left if you need to shop. Go north and further into the dome; you’ll have another scene in the next area. Follow the path northward some more and you’ll see the kids; tell him ' Sure I do ' in the conversation then you can continue along to find one of Leblanc’s goons… Oh dear.
After the quick slaughter, continue along the linear path to the intersection. Go east and snatch up the Mega Phoenix , then return to the fork and head north. You’ll soon have another forced fight, though there’s a Phoenix Down visible just before it. You’ll then just have one more fight before you reach the Corridor area.
There, you’ll find quite a few (empty) chests and people. There’s actually not much here, so simply go up the stairs to what used to be a Cloister of Trials. It’s a lot easier to solve this time, though! Simply walk through the door to the northwest to the second part of the cloister, then approach the lift in the center of the area. After a ride down, go use the Save Sphere, then head along the path to the next area, where you’ll meet Cid.
When speaking with Cid, tell him ' You bet I do! ' to help set up an event in Chapter 3. Then go and speak with the overweight man nearby to be able to reach the Great Hall, just before the Fayth itself. (Or what used to be the Fayth.) Open the six chests throughout this room for a Remedy, two Remedies, an Ether, an Elixir , a Hi-Potion , and a Phoenix Down . Then go upstairs and to the next area after a scene.
When the scene occurs with Isaaru, say ' Is that you, Isaaru ' to earn the Heart Reborn Garment Grid . (Well. That was interesting.) Afterwards, use the downbound stairs to the north to find a dungeon. It’s just a lengthy, linear path with some climbing and jumping until you reach the boss at the end.

BOSS ANALYSIS : The Guardian Beast can be a bit difficult to fight, even if it is weak to most elements. It has a basic attack you’ll see hit for around 50-70 damage and Damocles Photon . This latter attack is its most dangerous attack, dealing damage to each character equal to half of their maximum HP. Ouch! You can be happy, then, that Damocles will only occur under 1,000 HP. The Oversouled form doesn’t differ in its offense much, other than that it will noticeably focus its offense on single characters by eyeing them. It will also only use four Attacks then Damocles Photon when Oversouled.
MAIN STRATEGY : Simply put, you pretty much need to have Cure or Cura on a White Mage for this fight; especially after Damocles hits there will be a good bit of healing going on. You’ll want your White Mage to set up Protect on everyone when you can. (If you’re fighting the Oversouled form, focus on Protecting only the one he eyes.) If they have Shell, that would be great to cast, as it halves the damage taken from Damocles to 25% of your max HP! You’ll also want to instill Power Break and Armor/Mental Break when you can to really lower its offensive potential (short of Damocles).
Monkey Quest Ffx 2 Game
Your offense is actually pretty simple: elements. Anything elemental will do great here. You should be able to do this since the various Gleams you could’ve bought at the various shops in Spira now bestow an automatic Elementalstrike effect. Combined with Armor Break, your Elemental striker will do a ton of damage very quickly. Black Mages also will do pretty well, especially if they’ve already learned some of the '-ra' spells.

ALTERNATE STRATEGY - BERSERK : Berserking this boss is a completely legitimate possibility, in which the boss will get a boost in Strength, but it will never use Damocles Photon. You can do this most easily with a Thief using Soul Swipe . If you lack that, you should have already gotten the Raging Giant Garment Grid - if you pass through the blue and yellow gates, you’ll get a Berserktouch effect, which gives you a chance to Berserk the boss with attacks. Keep a White Mage on hold to Protect and Cure everyone as needed, but, once Berserk is in effect eventually, there’s not a lot to worry about. Power Break will further weaken the damage taken (to 25% of total with Protect) to somewhere around 25-35, making this monster a lot easier.
After the fight, you’ll get the Sphere Fragment in the scene after. Time to clear up that last mission…
