Monkey Quest Remake
Monkey Quest was an online game that released on March 17, 2011. I first started playing it when I was 6 or so. I immediately fell in love with it. But who wouldn't? The cute monkeys, the huge amount of items and weapons, the backstory, The events for Halloween, Christmas, ect. EVERYTHING. I played and played for years until I finally reached the max level, 65. I felt so proud..

I then continued to play the game for a few years. Suddenly, one day, they released a 'Sneak peek' of the 'New' Monkey Quest. It had changed so much. Everything looked plastic. More things were free. Basically no need for a membership. It blew me away how much they could change something in so little time. I eventually got used to the newer version. Then not even a month later, they announced it was CLOSING. I was shocked! Honestly, the reasons I think they closed it down were because practically EVERYTHING was free, the looks were fake and plastic-like, just everything fell apart. They even changed the items and made copies of them that weren't as strong or rare. I had the original items.
Monkey Quest 2
They officially closed Monkey Quest on September 26th, 2014. That's it. You couldn't access your monkey, items, pets, anything. All because they randomly changed it. If you sign this petition, you will show Nickelodeon that what they have done is wrong. We want to show everyone that we want this game back! Please sign and if we get enough, I will show it to Nickelodeon. PLEASE help. Thank you! -Aly
Monkey Quest was an impressive game for it's time, and trying to remake that would be a challenge, but that doesn't mean it would be impossible. Legal issues would most likely be the main problem someone would run into if they had the programmers with the skills to make it.

This is a complete reworking of the original King's Quest, using Sierra's 16-color SCI (Sierra Creative Interpreter) engine. In celebration of their 10 years as a successful computer entertainment company, it was decided in 1989 that Sierra On-Line should make new, enhanced versions of the first games in their five most popular game franchises: King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest and Quest for Glory. They would all use the new SCI system and the enhanced looks and sounds of the new versions would show how much tecnology had improved over the years. Graphics were remade, and new music was added. Being the first of the remade Sierra classics, this game was the only one to be made in 16 colors. All other remakes used SCI Version 1 (introduced in KG5) which allowed hand-painted 256-color backgrounds. However, it turned out that Sierra had greatly miscalculated how the market would receive these games. Every single one of them flopped. It turned out that the people who loved the original versions didn't like the new ones because they didn't have the same feeling to them, and the people who had never played the originals weren't impressed by the old-style gameplay and the simplicity in the storyline. They were heavily critizised in most reviews and many people compared the release of these games to the coloring of classic black and white films: It was simply not an improvement at all, and it was much more rewarding to watch the original, 'accurate' version.
